Through inspiring workshops, captivating conferences and a festive evening, the RailTech Summit 2024 has once again confirmed its place as an unmissable event for actors in rail freight transport.

The afternoon: a program rich in exchanges and perspectives
The RailTech Summit started with a series of interactive workshops that explored the major challenges and opportunities in the sector.
This privileged moment of exchange allowed our guests to meet rail experts and leading professionals in the sector to explore together the current challenges of the market, new trends and innovative advances in the digitalization of rail freight.
Four workshops were offered:
- Tracks your savings: how to reduce rail freight costs by limiting cancellations and maximizing occupancy rates.
- Master inbound transport management: solutions to optimize the management of inbound transport by combining cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Keep the fleet rolling: control maintenance and additional costs while ensuring the safety of the cars.
- Beat transport capacity shortages: overcoming capacity shortages to keep costs and operations under control.
The evening: round table, innovation and celebration
Our evening strengthened the links between industrial shippers, transporters and logistics providers from across the rail ecosystem. This event offered a privileged space to exchange, connect and be inspired in our shared mission to transform the future of rail freight.
- The European Rail Freight Round Table highlighted the visions and innovative projects led by Maggie Simpson (Rail Freight Group), Dr Thorsten Bieker (BASF) and Kasper Landheer (Viterra). They shared their strategies to increase the efficiency of railways in Europe tenfold through digitalization.
- Stefan Kirch (Nevomo) dazzled the audience with the presentation of MagRail technology, a revolutionary innovation that combines the speed of magnetic levitation and the use of existing rail infrastructures.
- Margaux Lalanne (Saarstahl Rail) spoke about Saarstahl Rail's sustainable strategy in terms of production and logistics within their company and in the steel industry.
- Dr. Youness Lemrabet, CEO and founder of Everysens, closed the session by unveiling the major advances of 2024 and sharing the strategic ambitions for 2025.
To end the evening, three prizes were awarded to companies that are pioneers in the digitalization of their rail transport:

🏆 Viterra received the SCALE award for its international project and its first promising results.
🏆 Tarmac, awarded the GROW award for having demonstrated a significant return on investment thanks to its advanced digitalization.
