What type of rail transport do we consider?

For the time being, our solution enables us to plan, track and manage block trains and individual wagons. Intermodal traffic is taken into account on the rail side, and therefore requires the use of another TMS specialized in road freight to be fully managed.

What is ETA?

The ETA, or Estimated Time of Arrival, refers to the time at which your train or wagon is scheduled to arrive at its destination.

Why is Everysens ETA so precise?

Inaccurate ETAs can have disastrous direct consequences for the entire supply chain: additional delays, additional costs due to penalties, degradation of service quality, impact on production... Reliable ETA is essential.

How does Everysens deliver such precise ETA?

We use a theoretical route, with a scheduled departure and arrival time. During transport, we check what time the wagon reached intermediate points and what time it was supposed to reach these intermediate points. If there is a discrepancy between the scheduled time and the actual time at the checkpoint, we take this into account and recalculate the ETA.For more information click here!

What are ETD and ETL?

ETD is the estimated time of departure of the shipment. ETL refers to the estimated time of loading the cargo onto the wagon.

Yes, our platform allows you to track both freight and empty cars.

How do you keep track of empty wagons?

Everysens tracks empty railcars in the same way as loaded ones: using information provided by rail operators, and GPS positions transmitted by sensors on the railcars.

How does Ralf suggest an optimised transport schedule?

RALF, the AI assistant, optimises transport planning for the shipper. The shipper submits a transport order on the platform, which RALF transforms into an optimised transport. This order includes the following elements: origin and destination, departure and delivery dates, and product to be transported. During transport optimisation, RALF adds several elements to this transport order: train composition (type and number of wagons), the route it will take, departure and arrival dates and locations, and the choice of carrier. These are the elements that RALF optimises. ‍

How do we plan transport on the platform?

Nothing could be simpler. In our planning module, the shipper creates a transport order in response to a customer order. All parties involved are informed of this order, so that they can reach a common agreement. Artificial intelligence, embodied by RALF, intervenes to optimize the route and train composition.

Is it possible to plan recurring transport?

Yes, it is entirely possible to indicate that a transport is recurring when it is created. To find out more click here!

Can a consignment note be created on the platform?

Yes, we do. This is created automatically in the platform and then sent to the carrier if Everysens has an integration with it.

Are cars tracked in real-time?

Does GPS tracking include an evolutionary progress status?

Throughout the journey, the wagons are tracked using GPS information transmitted by individual sensors on the wagons. This enables Everysens to notify the shipper in real time of any hazards on his train. ‍

How do I know where my car is at all times?

Can I know the distance covered by a wagon?

Yes. For each wagon tracked by Everysens, a monthly report is produced to calculate the number of kilometers traveled. These reports are recorded in the platform, and enable annual tracking as well. ‍
