Today we are taking you behind the scenes of data processing, to discover our new analytics module.

The data journey is original: starting in the industrial world of trailers, wagons and containers, data ends its journey on stage, in the role of logistical information.

But before they put on this suit, they need to prepare backstage. Like actors, geolocation, shock, temperature or filling data need a small makeover before being relevant, reliable and credible in this role.

Real time, history and logistics reporting

This makeover is carried out by the Everysens platform. Each asset — wagon, trailer, tipper, container or handling support — has its own history for us, and it is in this perspective that we process data.

Each mobile asset has two levels of story to tell.

1. The real-time history of logistics assets: managing daily life

On a daily basis, different chapters make up the adventures of the working day, whether it is the time spent in port, in the workshop or loading.

The Real time is written as we go on our logistics visibility platform : GPS points are instantly transformed into information that can be actioned by flow pilots, supply chain managers and logistics coordinators in your company.

2. The collective history of the fleet: optimizing the transport plan

Over the longer term, a second, collective, story is being woven. The movements and whereabouts of trailers, trestles, pallets, pallets, containers or cars shape the flow and behavior trends of the fleet.

This story calls for advanced data processing, and in particular Big Data. To make it accessible to you, we have evolved our analytics module into a data visualization module. The aim is to allow you, at a strategic level, to easily explore your logistics data. [Item. Understand what dataviz is].

On our logistics visibility platform, you can easily switch from macro indicators to finer statistics, and can thus implement corrective actions.

Data visualization in action: how to maximize rotations?

How to take advantage of dataviz in logistics? Let's take an example. You are starting a job of maximizing the rotations of your fleet.

The first step is for you to consult the volume of round-trip rotations. This gives you a global picture of your business, but doesn't allow you to take any action.

You decide to dig deeper, and refine your understanding through a visualization of flow rotation data. The thicker the line, the greater the number of rotations on this path. The redder the color, the longer the rotation takes. So you choose to focus on a thick and red flow, so that your actions have a visible impact.

On this flow, how do your cars, trailers, and specific packaging behave? This is what you will discover thanks to the rate of use, and the possible zoom in on unproductive times. For example, by clicking on the parking time at the station, the average time per station is displayed. You can then take action with the “bad students” to optimize your turnover rate.

And that's it! In a few clicks, thanks to data visualization, you have gone from a global analysis of rotations to a concrete corrective measure.

In this module, you can also explore other analysis paths, focused on the filling, use and punctuality of deliveries.
