“If you want your business to have an economic and environmental ROI, you need to integrate real-time transport data into rail processes, end-to-end.”
Youness Lemrabet went to the set of BFM Business on Friday 12 May to chat with Christophe Jakubyszyn and Lorraine GOUMOT.
Our CEO had important news to announce: the raising of 6 million euros in funding to invest in our solution: TVMS.
The digitalization of the rail freight sector is a major challenge for the economic but also environmental profitability of industrial shippers, within the framework of Scope 3, which consists in particular in reducing emissions related to transport.
In France, the rate of filling of cars is only 65%. This is due in particular to: the lack of foresight in advance of the constraints of each actor as well as the absence of real-time visibility on hazards. There are significant margins to look for!
Our approach: Propose a tool to digitize collaboration between industrial shippers, rail carriers and end customers in order to optimize exchanges between them. This new generation of TMS, TVMS, makes it possible to digitize end-to-end processes to in particular to inject transport data in real time.
Here are some solutions that our tool offers to industrial chargers:
- Collaborative planning: being able to plan your transport in collaboration with railway companies thanks to a single reliable data source, the famous “single source of truth”.
- The quality of the service: being able to inform its customers of the precise dates and times of arrival (ETA), as well as the real-time location of the wagon and the goods. In case of unforeseen circumstances, we can organize ourselves as soon as possible to fulfill the service contract.
- Cost optimization: identify deadlines in the management of the wagon fleet in order to be able to put them back into service as quickly as possible. In particular, this makes it possible to optimize the size of the wagon fleet.
- Analysis of transport plans: understanding actual transit times, fleet utilization rates, and wagon behavior patterns, allowing shippers to assess the stability and reliability of their transport plans and to improve their network design for years to come.
- Digitize processes: transform the contracts and processes of partners, railway operators, manufacturers and customers into digital contracts and processes in order to obtain better collaboration and a significant saving of time and money.
The results:
- An important improvement in the quality of service, economic and environmental ROI and transport plans.
- Greater peace of mind for operational teams who are aware of possible ongoing incidents in real time, and can act proactively in relation to the black box they still often work with today.
Our goals following our fundraising:
- To develop in Europe, and particularly in the DACH region (we are already present in France and Germany).
- Investing in R&D, our product and new functionalities to support our customers in meeting their challenges.
