Plan and track your transport with Everysens
The Everysens platform is divided into several modules: planning, execution, tracking and validation of costs.
Transport starts at the planning module level. First, the shipper receives an order from their customer (internal or external), from which they create a transport order, in which the shipper specifies the type of wagon they wish to use and the methods of transport. Following the creation of this order, all stakeholders are informed: the shipper itself, the site of origin, the carrier (railway company) and the destination site. The aim is to allow all these actors to collaborate together: the site of origin can for example indicate to the shipper that it does not have enough product in stock to honor the order, the railway company responsible for the transport can indicate to the shipper that its transport is not possible on these dates because of the work, the site and/or the carrier can also submit counter-proposals, etc.
Also, this is where our artificial intelligence, in the guise of RALF, comes in, by optimizing the chosen route and the composition of the train. When all the actors agree, the transport order goes into the “execution” module.
During the execution phase, the composition of the train can be entered into our platform and sent to the carrier, who validates it or not depending on the availability of wagons. Thanks to our integration with several rail carriers, this validation can be done directly via the Everysens platform. The carrier then automatically receives the composition of the train and the consignment note corresponding to the transport in question.
Finally, the transport goes into the tracking module when it is ready to be carried out. Shortly before the train leaves, Everysens verifies, using GPS data received by the wagons, that they are in the process of being set up for departure. Throughout the journey, these wagons will be monitored using GPS information transmitted by the sensors individually present on the wagons. This allows Everysens to notify the loader in real time of the events of their train: if it is late or early, and when it leaves his point of departure and reaches its destination.
Note that this whole process is possible for both full and empty wagons.
Watch your mileage
For each wagon monitored by Everysens, a report is made monthly to calculate the number of kilometers traveled. These reports are recorded in the platform, and also allow annual monitoring. This feature allows our shipper customers to better monitor the mileage of their wagons, and potentially to optimize their fleet with rental companies. In particular, if the data shows that the wagons are used too little compared to the established rental contract: it is then easier for the shipper to reduce its fleet or to optimize its use, in order to improve its efficiency and reduce its logistics costs.
