TVMS's transport agenda view was developed with this in mind.
Why do we need this feature?
The transport agenda screen is one of our users' most frequently used tools. But the previous version had a number of limitations that hampered its effectiveness:
- Lack of overall visibility: Few transports displayed simultaneously.
- Limited information : No data customization, nor display of actual or estimated dates.
- Limited flexibility: Users couldn't easily adjust the information displayed.
In response to these challenges, we completely redesigned this tool to make it clearer, more customizable, and focused on up-to-date data.
What the new Agenda View brings to the table
1. A global view, at a glance
Thanks to a compact display, the agenda view can now show up to 100 transports on a single screen. Each transport is presented as a synthetic tile, displaying :
- Carrier name (color-coded)
- Potential problems detected.
- Origin
- Destination
- Time differences between planned and actual dates
2. Rich, personalized data
Users can choose what data is displayed on each tile with over 30 customizable widgets, including :
- Important dates: planned, actual, completed, or estimated.
- Logistical details: total weight, products transported, or wagon sets.
- Financial indicators: forecast, actual or additional costs.
- Collaborative status: validations or exchanges with stakeholders.
This wealth of information enables each user to adapt the interface to their specific needs.
3. Great flexibility
The new agenda view offers powerful tools for direct action on transportation:
- Modification of dates and schedules: Adjust scheduled dates by dragging and dropping tiles.
- Reorganize Wagon Set in use: Move a wagon to another wagon set
- Visual customization: color tiles for more intuitive organization.
4. Dynamic, up-to-date tracking
The agenda view adapts to different use cases by displaying updated data in real time, such as actual dates or estimates (ETA). This guarantees a precise, up-to-date view of the transport situation.
