Dr. Thorsten Bieker
Thorsten Bieker holds a Master's in Chemistry and Economics, followed by a PhD in Chemistry from Gutenberg University Mainz. With extensive experience at BASF spanning various roles including Head of Export Department, Managing Director, and CEO of Rail4Chem Group, he has demonstrated leadership in logistics and procurement across global operations. His achievements include leading significant investment projects in the US, Asia and Europe, and pioneering autonomous transport initiatives at BASF.
Maggie Simpson
Maggie Simpson is Director General of the Rail Freight Group, the representative body for rail freight in the UK. Since joining in 2005 she has worked to promote growth in rail freight and to support member companies of the Group in their activities. She is also a Trustee of the Railway Benefit Fund.
Stefan Kirch
Stefan leads business development for Nevomo's MagRail technology, managing customer and partner relationships. With 14 years of rail industry experience at Deutsche Bahn, he has held roles like Head of Sales at DB Netz and founded innovation initiatives like EinfachBahn and DB FlexRail. Stefan holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree in economics from Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
Kasper Landheer
Kasper Landheer is leading the implementation of a Transportation Management System for Viterra's European rail activities. He has been overseeing rail logistics with a fleet of over 1,000 wagons since 2019, managing stakeholders, rail export coordination and asset optimization.
Dr. Youness Lemrabet
After a PhD in computer science from the Ecole Centrale de Paris and Lille, Youness decided to create Everysens in 2013. Youness believes that rail must be the cornerstone of the decarbonation journey in logistics. With a deep knowledge of the technology capabilities and Supply Chain evolution he decides to tackle the problem of logistics decarbonation by bringing digitalisation to the Rail Logistics Operation.
